OUR COMPANY AND ITS PRODUCTS
Delta plastic packaging is producing various disposable
products in different shape and sizes as food grade, the
product has been made from PET . PET is a food grade material so our target is to provide healthy product which will not effect the people’s health .
PET VS PVC
Why do we prefer PET over PVC..?
Pet is a clear, tough, stable polymer with exceptional gas and moisture barrier properties. PET is a wonderful material. It is crystal clear like glass, unbreakable, lightweight and recyclable and has good properties.PET consists of polymerized units of the monomer ethylene terephthalate, with repeating C10H8O4 units. It contains the chemical elements carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen. If fully burned, it produces only carbon dioxide (CO2) and water (H2O). PET is commonly recycled, and has the number "1" as its recycling symbol It is often used to contain carbon die oxide in soft drinks bottles. Is applications also includes film sheet, fiber, trays, displays, clothing and wire insulation.
PEOPLE AND ENVIRONMENT ARE IMPORTANT FOR US
PET has been approved by FDA. Therefore, PET
• Compiles with FDA regulation: CFR 177.1630 for use in
contact with food.
FOOD GRADE
Since PVC sheet is always compounded with adhesives such as tints, other materials, etc. Its impossible for any organization to check for food grade adhesives in the sheet. PET being the only polymer used in producing sheet it guarantees its food grade nature, thereby adhering to all food grade and regulations.
COST EFFECTIVE
PET apparently appears to be expensive however due its
following qualities it is much more cost effective.
(a) faster cycle times and lower oven temperature
(b) High yields
(c) Longer shelf life as compared to PVC
ENVIRONMENTAL EDGE
PET is much more cost effective to recycle; PET displays its environmental edge over PVC with its ease of recycling and regrinding.
EXCEPTIONAL GAS AND MOISTURE BARRIERS
PET is considered to have higher gas and moisture barrier
capabilities than PVC.
More resistant to oxygen transfer and mositure.
